While I was doing some searching online trying to determine whether there were any petroleum-carrying, single-hulled barges still sailing on the Great Lakes, I stumbled into Boat Nerd heaven. Now I know that there are (at present) five vessels currently travelling the Laurentian Great Lakes and that if I am willing to part with $10 USD, I could take part in a raffle to try to win a much coveted trip on a Great Lakes Freighter.
