I love the yuletide season largely for the excuses to indulge in food and drink but I would be lying if I didn't say that it was also because of the presents. Now in my family, Christmas gifts were rarely expensive big-ticket items so I don't think my love of Christmas gifts has been cultivated by greed. I think its because people are hard-wired to love surprises. I love the ritual of unwrapping.

On this note, I got an early Christmas gift from Timothy McSweeney.
