If you don't know me, you should know this: I am not the kind of person that peers take their lifestyle cues from. I'll leave my personal confession to that. And yet I have recently learned that three of my friends that have followed my advice in one very particular matter that I have been known to strongly advocate - that one should put their personal computer in the kitchen.

The computer in the kitchen is a beauiful thing. If you are hooked up for sound, your computer can become a heavenly jukebox or global radio. Sure, you can look up recipes on the fly, but I find that I am much more likely to interupt my duties in the kitchen to slowly make progress in my personal digitalizing projects. [note to sibling: try buring one cd a day - you can do it!]

Besides, the kitchen is comfortable place to work - close to coffee and tea and hopefully someone making dinner.
