There once was a time in which I actually attempted to create a real cut and paste zine. It never came to be - I was too embarassed by the shoddy quality of my creative output to actually put a cover on the pages and then distribute it with my name attached.

(The beauty of the online publishing is its immediacy - its faster than shame!)

I had a neat idea for the unrealized cover. I wanted to take a photo of a person holding a florescent tube in each hand, standing underneath some power lines. Due to the strong electromagnet fields, the florescent tubes would have been a-glow.

That cover will never be. This artistic vision, however, has been properly actualized by Richard Box, artist-in-residence in the Department of Physics at the University of Bristol [mefi].
