Its beyond ironic that thrice during this somewhat stressful fortnight that I have stumbled upon the phrase "Make Haste Slowly".

Like most coincidences, the more you bring attention to something, the more times that something seems to appear. I can't precisely recall the first time I ran into the phrase, but I seem to recall hearing a voice on the radio explain that a famous Italian printer used to use a watermark of a dolphin and an anchor to embody the idea.

Then I noticed something that elluded my perception until recently: the top banner for textism has the phrase quietly in the background.... and then I read the latin translation of the phrase festina lente in The Grand Complication which I am enjoying mightily.

I don't know where this will lead. For the moment, I'm just happy browsing the other entries in the Order of Emblems.
