Whenever I hear or read another dismal review for the latest Star Wares flick (so aptly named "Attack of the Clones", don't you think?), my mind keeps wandering to a quote I read from a May 7, 2002 Globe and Mail interview with Tom Waits. He is talking about the process of recording music, but I think the sentiment can be applied more widely:

In order to put something living into it you have to be very agile. It's like sneaking up on a bird. Most people record the feathers and throw away the bird.

A George Lucas love story is nothing but feathers.
