"I knew Tibor Kalman. Tibor Kalman was a friend of mine. You, sir, are no Tibor Kalman..."

Friends of Tibor rejoice!
Colors Magazine Issues 1-13 by Tibor Kalman are now on sale in the form of a hardcover book.

I started subscribing to COLORS many issues after Kalman's departure so I can't comment on the nature of the book. I can comment, however, on the latest issue of COLORS which I just picked up on the newstand. The theme of the issue is "TOURS" which brings back the magazine to a wide-lens cross-cultural gaze.

The issues just prior to it were more narrow and almost extended photo essays on more specific topics such as the city of Rome, Russia's fading SpaceCity, and the strange retirement villa of Leisure World. The issue was a good read, but not good enough for me to send in a resubscription card just yet.
